Page Builder overview

Since v0.9.0

Every page on your site is built from a stack of blocks — sections you add, drag to reorder, and remove. Each block has a simple form (no code), and renders on the public site already styled in your district’s colors.

This is deliberately NOT a free drag-anything-anywhere canvas (the Wix/Squarespace style). Free-form canvases break on mobile, fail accessibility requirements government sites must meet, and get messy fast in non-technical hands. Stacked, reorderable blocks keep every page clean, mobile-safe, and compliant no matter who edits it.

  1. Open a page in the admin (Pages → pick a page, or Pages → Create New).
  2. Under “Page builder,” click “Add block” and choose from the grouped picker (Text & buttons, Images & media, Layout, Live data) — each option shows a small preview image.
  3. Fill in the block’s fields, drag the handle to reorder blocks, and remove any you don’t need.
  4. Use the Live Preview tab to see the real page update as you edit.
  5. Set Status to Published when ready; use Draft to keep working without it going live.
Older pages that pre-date the Page Builder still work — their content shows through the “Simple text” field below the Page Builder, which is only used when the Page Builder area is empty.
