Hero image, overlay & effects
Since v0.3The homepage hero is the large banner at the top of your site. Without a Hero Image it shows a default parcel-map graphic; upload a landscape photo (courthouse, county landscape, aerial — about 2000px wide) to replace it.
Hero Headline and Hero Subheading are optional overrides — leave them blank and the platform fills in a sensible default (“Welcome to the [district name]” plus a standard mission statement).
Hero image overlay
When a Hero Image is set, an overlay keeps the headline readable on top of the photo. Eight styles are available: Brand gradient (default), darker/lighter variants, no overlay (photo only, relies on a text shadow), a neutral dark scrim, a solid brand tint, a vignette, and a bottom fade. Try a few — photos with busy detail near the text usually look best with the neutral scrim or a darker gradient.
- Scroll reveal effects — sections and cards gently fade/slide in as visitors scroll (automatically disabled for visitors who prefer reduced motion).
- Parallax hero image — the hero photo stays fixed while the page scrolls over it. Only applies when a Hero Image is set.
